The Polar Bears also got 81 yards rushing and a touchdown from RB A.J. Marks and 44 yards rushing and three touchdowns from RB Brock Martin. ONU led 21-7 at halftime and 28-7 after three periods. ONU out-gained MU 459-422 in total offense. Northern stopped MU on three of its trips to the red zone, forcing a missed field goal and stopped the Muskies twice on downs on back-to-back possessions in the third quarter. LB David Haseleu had a career-high 12 tackles and LB Mark Niles had 11 tackles for ONU.

The Polar Bears scored on its first six possessions in the first half, but the Quakers scored on their last six possessions to get within 49-45 with 1:21 to play in the game. RB Christian Williams had 125 yards rushing on 19 carries with a TD. QB Anthony McFadden completed 15-of-21 passes for 283 yards and 5 TDs in his first career start. WC was led by Luke Creditt, who completed 35-of-47 passes for 444 yards and five TDs. The two teams combined for 1,036 yards of total offense with WC holding a 585-451 advantage.
