Senior quarterback Tim Bailey tied the College record for touchdown passes in a game with five, as St. John Fisher College rolled to a 55-12 win over visiting SUNY College at Brockport on Saturday in the football season opener for both teams.

The Cardinals never trailed in the game.

On Fisher's first possession of the game, sophomore-transfer Ryan Kramer returned a punt 52 yards to put the Cardinals up 6-0. Kramer, who transferred after spending his freshman year at Colgate University, is the younger brother of former Fisher quarterback Rob Kramer, who ranks first at Fisher with 50 career touchdown passes.

Brockport, however, came right back and tied the game at 6-6. Riedrick Alceus scored on a five-yard run with 5:27 left in the first quarter. Alceus sparked the 6-play, 72-yard drive with a 46 run deep into Fisher territory.

The Cardinals closed out the first half with three touchdown passes from Bailey. Bailey hit Ryan Francis on a slant-pattern for a 9-yard score with 2:08 left in the first quarter. On Fisher's next possession, Bailey found Scott Biehl wide open along the left sidelines for a 14-yard strike. With just under three minutes left in the first half, Bailey engineered a 12-play, 78-yard drive, with Francis scoring another 9-yard touchdown with just over 20 seconds left in the half.

Fisher picked up in the second half right where it left off. After a kickoff return by Ryan Schmidt to midfield, Fisher went 50 yards on four plays with Bailey hitting Biehl for a 19-yard score.

Junior running back FuQuan Borum scored on a three-yard run midway through the third quarter, pushing Fisher's lead to 41-6.

Brockport scored its second touchdown of the game, as quarterback Jon Williams made his first collegiate pass a memorable one, hitting Jordan Hogan for a 69-yard bomb with 2:52 left in the third.

Scott Allis caught his first career touchdown reception on Bailey's fifth touchdown pass of the day, with Allis breaking multiple tackles to reach the endzone from 29 yards out.

Backup-quarterback Nick Adrian closed out the scoring drive with a 16-yard touchdown pass to Terrence Wallace with 11:20 left in the game. The reception was the first in Wallace's career.

The Fisher defense forced five turnovers on the day. Shawn Masood, Dave Vosburgh, Keith Savage and Mike Benderski each intercepted a pass. Benderski rumbled 57 yards to set up Fisher's sixth touchdown of the day.

Bailey finished the game 17-for-28 for 219 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions.

Francis caught four passes for 61 yards and two touchdowns, while Schmidt (43 yards) and Kramer (28 yards) also caught four balls.

Borum led the Fisher rushing attack with 86 yards on 21 carries.  Newcomer Cody Miller recorded eight rushes for 55 yards in his first career game, while Bailey came in at third in rushing yards with 46 on five attempts.

Joe Leavell and Brenden Moore led the Fisher defense, combining for 17 tackles on the night. Leavell broke up a pass and was credited with half a sack, while Moore added a fumble recovery.

Punter Chad Monheim went 7-for-8 in extra point attempts.

For Brockport, Alceus gained 88 yards on 14 carries. Quarterback Joseph Scibilia went 15-for-29 for 113 yards, but had three interceptions.
