Keith McMillan
Year: 1997
College: Randolph-Macon
Title: Editor Emeritus

When his father took him to a Tufts-Bowdoin game while growing up in Somerville, Mass., or, when as a high school senior in Southern New Jersey, he began getting recruiting letters from places like Allegheny, Albright and William Paterson, Keith had no idea how big a part of his life Division III football would become.

After one season as the mid-Atlantic columnist in 2000, Keith wrote D3football.com's national column, Around the Nation, every week from the 2001 through 2013 seasons, taking a break only occasionally to get married or welcome a new child into the world. The column mixes features, analysis, opinions, trends and statistics from Division III's nearly 250 teams and 30 conferences.

Each summer, Keith coordinated the production of Kickoff, a comprehensive online-only season preview special edition that first went live in 2005.

Keith also works alongside Pat Coleman as a color analyst on game-day broadcasts, including each Stagg Bowl since 1999, recorded a weekly podcast with Pat from 2006-2020 and contributes to the Quick Hits picks on Fridays.

A cornerback/free safety for Randolph-Macon from 1994-97, Keith is a full-time employee of The Washington Post. Keith worked for three years as a copy editor at USA Today, and has previously been a writer, columnist and designer at three Virginia newspapers.

Keith lives in Northern Virginia with his wife, Monica, and two children.
