QB Brady Huber, Sr., Illinois College
Huber set a school and Midwest Conference record by throwing for 653 yards in IC's 64-62 loss to Cornell. The senior completed 41 of 61 passes (67.2%) and connected with his receivers for seven touchdowns. He also accounted for the other two Blueboy touchdowns in the game, rushing in from 11 yards and 1 yard out in the first quarter.
OL Trevor Rick, AJ Eppley, Anthony Jalowiec, Bryan Tran, Mitch Bilotta, Marietta
Marietta had its best offensive output of the season with 436 total yards and 49 points scored. The Pioneers dominated the fourth quarter, possessing the ball for more than 11 minutes to pull away from rival Muskingum en route to the 49-28 win.
RB Chris Negron, Jr., Moravian
Negron rushed for 226 yards on 18 carries, and he added a touchdown on the ground and another through the air as he caught four passes for 29 yards as the Greyhounds won their sixth straight game and improved to 8-1 for just the second time in school history with a 42-10 win over Juniata. Negron had the two longest runs of his career with an 87-yard run in the first quarter and a 69-yard run in the second quarter. He scored on a 7-yard reception in the first quarter of the win and on a 1-yard run in the third quarter for the Hounds' final points of the game.
RB Dayton Winn, Jr., Hendrix
Winn had 197 yards rushing and 128 receiving in the Warriors' 54-51 win over Washington U. Winn ran 28 times and had two touchdowns. He also caught five passes for two TDs and scored on a 70-yard screen pass on the first play of the game. He also had 69 yards on kick returns for a total of 394 all-purpose yards. Winn now has 1,532 rushing yards on the year, an SAA single-season record.
WR Kevin Jennings, Sr., Carroll
Jennings tied Carroll's single game record for receptions and set new marks in receiving yards and touchdowns with 16 catches for 320 yards and five touchdowns in a 48-24 win vs. Beloit. His game totals also pushed him to new Carroll single season records in receptions (86), yards (1,208) and touchdowns (17).
WR Ryan Umpleby, Sr., Lycoming
Umpleby became the first player in school history to notch three 200-yard receiving games in a career, making 11 catches for 207 yards in a 43-42 upset of No. 19 Delaware Valley. He caught a fourth-quarter touchdown with 56 seconds left that led to an onside kick and resulting winning field goal.
TE Todd Collins, Sr., Gallaudet
Collins had a memorable Senior Day as he played multiple positions for a depleted Gallaudet team that only played 28 players in a tough 24-20 loss to Anna Maria. Collins has been an anchor on the Bison offensive line during his career but had to switch jersey numbers and start the game at tight end. Late in the second quarter, Collins scored his first collegiate touchdown on a 1-yard run. He then ran in the two-point conversion to give GU a 14-0 lead as the Bison held a 14-3 lead at halftime. Collins also out on special teams and made three tackles in the game while playing on defense on several plays on the defensive line.
Defense
DE Isaac Zickafoose, Fr., Bluffton
Zickafoose had eight tackles (seven solo), four tackles for loss and three sacks as Bluffton shut out Anderson 44-0. Bluffton allowed just 83 yards, with Zickafoose's tackles for loss accounting for minus-36 yards. The Beavers limited AU to minus-9 yards rushing. It marked the first time since joining the HCAC in 1998 that a Bluffton defense held an opponent to negative yardage on the ground.
DT Nate Bryan, Sr., Franklin
Bryan registered six tackles, including three in the opposing backfield as the Grizzlies captured the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference title. He made two tackles for loss and added a sack for a combined 16 yards. Bryan also recorded a quarterback hurry on a second quarter interception.
DT Zayd Mabin, Jr., Hiram
Mabin was dominant on the defensive line in Hiram's 40-36 win over Wooster. He recorded 16 total tackles (eight solo), with five coming for a loss. He also had a sack and batted down a pass at the line. In addition, Mabin forced a fumble deep in Hiram's own territory to bring a end to a potential scoring drive.
DE Josiah Situmeang, Jr., Washington U.
Situmeang recorded six tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and forced two fumbles in the Bears' 54-51 loss at Hendrix. Situmeang's second forced fumble led to a touchdown that put WashU up 51-41 with 9:34 to play.
LB Adam Dansdill, Sr., Wheaton (Ill.)
In the crucial fourth quarter, as Wheaton finished pulling away from a 27-27 tie to defeat Illinois Wesleyan 40-27, Dansdill had five total tackles, including four solo tackles and two tackles for lost yardage. Dansdill also had a third-down sack for minus-13 yards and force a punt. He finished with 11 tackles (seven solo), including three and a half for loss and the sack.
LB CJ Johnson, Fr., East Texas Baptist
Johnson had a career-high 12 tackles, three sacks for a total of minus-31 yards, and four and a half tackles for loss in ETBU's upset win vs. Hardin-Simmons. In the fourth quarter, he posted a sack for a loss of 17 yards that forced HSU to punt with just over five minutes left in the game. He also had two of the three tackles on HSU's final possession of the game as HSU turned the ball over on downs, handing it to ETBU to run the clock out.
LB Kyle Hoefft, Sr., UW-Stout
Hoefft recorded 17 tackles, nine solo, one sack and two tackles for loss in a 34-31 win over UW-Stevens Point. Hoefft has had at least 10 tackles in each of the last three games and leads the WIAC in tackles with 104.
LB Marshall McCarthy, Jr., Massachusetts Maritime
McCarthy made a career-high 14 total tackles, including 12 solo stops and 4 1/2 tackles for losses of 15 yards, while registering a pair of sacks, recording his first career interception (10 yard return) and adding two quarterback hurries in the Buccaneers' 48-27 victory vs. Plymouth State.
CB Rashad Baker, Fr., Brockport
Baker tabbed his first two interceptions at the collegiate level in a 49-42 win over Morrisville State. The first interception came in the third quarter and he returned it 30 yards for a touchdown. In the final minutes of the game, Brockport was leading by seven and Morrisville was driving. Baker came up big with an interception and returned it 41 yards to seal the victory for the Golden Eagles.
S Anthony White, Sr., Huntingdon
White had an interception and 10 tackles, seven solo, including a tackle for loss on a third-and-goal from the 2. Maryville went for it on fourth down and was intercepted. Huntingdon's 38-14 win clinched the USA South automatic bid.
CB JaVaughn Patterson, Jr., Albright
Patterson had two interceptions in the Lions' 30-26 victory at Stevenson. He intercepted a pass and returned it 95 yards for a touchdown. The interception return is the third longest in school history. His second pick came with Albright clinging to a 30-24 lead and the Mustangs driving. Patterson picked off the pass at the Albright 24-yard line with 58 seconds left to play to seal the victory for the Lions. He added five tackles to go along with his two interceptions.
Special teams
K Trevor Bowden, So., Wooster
Bowden set a North Coast Athletic Conference record with 18 points by a kicker, including his school-record fifth field goal made -- a 31-yarder -- that gave Wooster a 36-34 lead at Hiram with 2:17 remaining. Bowden was a perfect 5-for-5 on field goals, covering 25, 27, 23, 37, and 31 yards, and converted all three PATs.
P Clark Riedel, So., UW-Stout
Riedel averaged 48.8 yards over four punts placing two punts inside the 20-yard line in a 34-31 win over UW-Stevens Point. Riedel leads the WIAC in punting average (40.5) by more than two yards, and is ranked 13th in Division III.
RET Mike Rando, Jr., Tufts
Rando returned the second-half kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown giving the Jumbos a 21-3 advantage. He finished the day with 122 yards on two kick returns (61.0 avg) and 46 yards on two punt returns (23.0 avg). He had a 41-yard punt return in the second quarter that gave Tufts the ball at midfield and set up the touchdown which put the Jumbos ahead 14-0. His other kickoff return was 37 yards as Tufts defeated Colby 28-10.
ST William Johnson, Jr., Augsburg
Johnson blocked a punt and PAT, recorded seven tackles and had an interception in Augsburg's 35-26 win over Hamline on Saturday in the game for "The Hammer" traveling trophy, with three of his plays leading to Auggie scores. His blocked punt in the third quarter set up an Augsburg touchdown five plays later, and after Hamline scored a touchdown on the next drive, Johnson's blocked PAT resulted in a return by Bobby Collins for a two-point defensive PAT. He also had an interception and 54-yard return in the second quarter, setting up an Augsburg touchdown two plays later.
