Barnes threw for a career-high 343 yards while
completing 25 of 34 passes during a second consecutive
turnover-free performance. He also rushed for 53 yards as part of a
four-TD performance.

Pappas, Mac Hanlon, Kyle Morris, Worcester
State
The line helped Worcester State rally from a from an early 27
point deficit in a 64-63 win over Mass Maritime as the Lancers set
school records for first downs (35), passing yardage (526), pass
completions (40) and passing touchdowns (seven).
RB Domonique Hayden, Jr., Thomas
More
Hayden helped lead the Saints to a 49-28 win vs. Waynesburg
in Saturday’s home opener. He finished with 24 carries for
212 yards (8.8 yards per carry) and a pair of rushing touchdowns
(5, 44) and also had one catch for a 36-yard touchdown.
RB Sean Dunning, Jr.,
Millikin
Dunning had five touchdowns on the ground and also a 45-yard run
that set up Millikin's game-winning field goal in a victory against
Aurora. He compiled 186 yards on 25 carries.
WR John Babin, Jr., Cortland
State
Babin caught nine passes for 173 yards, one of
them a 22-yard touchdown to give the Red Dragons the lead in a game
St. John Fisher would come back to win. Babin also caught a
two-point conversion to cut the Fisher lead to a one-possession
game.
WR Donteea Dye, Jr.,
Heidelberg
Dye caught six passes for 131 yards and two
touchdowns in Heidelberg's 66-12 win against Wilmington despite not
playing the second half.
TE Jesse Lane, So.,
Wooster
Coming into the game with just one career
reception, Lane added six more to that total, for 94 yards. Three
of his catches (for 14, 16 and 21 yards) put Wooster in the red
zone, helping the Scots build a 28-7 lead.
Defense
DE Louis Danesi, Sr.,
Trine
Danesi recorded five tackles, four of them solo
against Division II St. Joseph's (Ind.). Three of them were tackles
for loss and two of them sacks.
DT Dwight Hentz, Sr.,
Lycoming
Hentz had six tackles, five solo, including three
and a half sacks as Lycoming knocked off No. 24 Widener 16-14.
Widener got just 15 rushing yards on the day. Two of Hentz's sacks
came in the fourth quarter.
DE Danny Samson, Sr.,
Central
Samson had five tackles, all of them solo and
four of them for loss in a 31-6 win vs. Albion. One of his two
sacks helped set the tone on the second play of the game, forcing a
punt, while the other put Albion back on its 11, setting up a
blocked punt and a quick score.
LB Brendan Manion, Jr.,
Willamette
Manion He scored on a 37-yard interception return in the second
quarter at East Texas Baptist for a 24-6 halftime lead, and
registered 14 tackles (nine solo) during the game, including 2.5
tackles for losses (one sack). He also forced two fumbles recovered
by Willamette. One fumble was at the WU 12 and the other was at the
WU 2.
LB Sosthene Kapepula, Jr.,
Wesley
Kapepula tallied seven tackles with three and a
half tackles for loss in a 46-12 win at Birmingham-Southern. He
also forced and recovered a fumble which he returned 21 yards for a
touchdown.
LB Ralph Martello, Sr.,
Catholic
Martello finished with 12 tackles, seven solo,
including two takeaways and a tackle for loss in a shutout win vs.
Anna Maria. He had a forced and recovered fumble as well as an
interception.
LB Devin Worthington, Sr.,
Hobart
Worthington led a swarming Hobart defense that bottled up the
prolific Merchant Marine running game in a 24-8 Statesmen victory.
He recorded 11 tackles, three and a half tackles for loss, and two
sacks. The Mariners came into the game averaging 324.7 rushing
yards per game, including 189.3 from quarterback Matthew McDaniels.
Worthington and the Statesmen held the Academy to less than half
their average, just 154 yards on the ground, and limited McDaniels
to 65 yards.
CB Mike Vulcano, Sr., Ithaca
Vulcano led Ithaca's secondary with eight tackles,
contributed on a tackle for loss and also had an interception in
Ithaca's 24-20 win at Buffalo State.
S Andrew Tolosi, Jr., Cortland
State
Tolosi led Cortland with 13 tackles, seven solo,
in a loss to No. 18 St. John Fisher. He forced two fumbles which
the Red Dragons recovered, one inside the Cortland 15-yard
line.
S Renny LaRue-Holloman, So., St.
Vincent
LaRue-Holloman recorded 10 tackles, seven solo, broke up
a pass and forced and recovered two fumbles in a 28-21 loss to
Westminster (Pa.). He lateraled one of the fumbles to teammate Dan
Wirkowski, who returned it 95 yards for a touchdown.
LaValley returned two interceptions for touchdowns to help lift St. Scholastica to a 41-13 win against Westminster (Mo.). Both of the pick-sixes came in the first half, combining to go 131 yards.
Special teams
K Zack Czap, Sr., Lycoming
Czap was perfect on three field goal attempts, his last a
33-yarder with 2:24 left to lift the Warriors to a 16-14 win over
24th-ranked Widener. He hit a field goal from 44 in the first
quarter, a second-quarter field goal from 31 and he capped his day
in the fourth by calmly hitting the game-winner from 33 yards
out.
P Grant Shreve, Jr.,
Millikin
Shreve's four punts each landed inside the Aurora
25, including one at the 1-yard line in a 52-49 win. He averaged
56.8 yards in the process.
ST Devon Price, So., Ohio Northern
Price had two short returns but also blocked a punt that was
recovered for a touchdown in the Polar Bears' 38-24 win vs.
Capital.
RET Josh Oliver, So.,
Ithaca
Oliver returned a punt 63 yards for a
touchdown in the Bombers' 24-20 win against Buffalo State, the
first punt return for a score the Bengals have given up since
2004.
