TD stands for tip drill, and touchdown

More news about: John Carroll

Like many teams over the past season-plus, John Carroll was having a hard time moving the ball against the UW-Oshkosh defense. But as halftime approached, the Blue Streaks found an open man downfield. And after a deflection, the ball found a second man. It's the D3football.com Play of the Week.

We solicit video of top plays from every Division III football program and this was our top clip.

Week 1 Play of the Week finalists

Here are some great plays which deserved extra mention:

Rockford blocks an extra point attempt by MacMurray, right into the hands of offensive lineman Xadrian Wilkins, who runs it in for a two-point conversion to give MacMurray a 15-14 lead in a game that ended 22-14.

Illinois College quarterback Drew Chance connects with Kyle Obertino and then the lateral goes to Logan Uyetake for an Illinois College on the final play of the game vs. Rose-Hulman. (The two-point conversion play was stopped.)

Trailing 8-6 in the closing minutes of the game, Ferrum defensive lineman Montel Lee forced a fumble from the Emory & Henry quarterback to prevent the Wasps from running out the clock. Three plays later, Ferrum was in the end zone and held on to win 13-8

Jayson Prince returned a fumble 98 yards for a Hobart touchdown, keeping the Statesmen within striking distance as Brockport threatened to take a 21-0 lead.
