Here are some great plays which deserved extra mention:
Trailing 49-48 at Whitworth in the first overtime, Central rolled the dice and went for a 2-point conversion. Kohle Helle took his first snap of the first game and rolled right looking to pass before diving across the pylon for the 50-49 win. This was the favorite of the fan vote and a very close second for the week! |
Justus Drakeford took Christopher Newport from potentially trailing at half to being up by two scores as his interception return for a touchdown put CNU up 16-7 vs. Kean on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016. |
Case Western Reserve's Justin Phan returns a punt 85 yards for a touchdown, giving the Spartans a 21-3 lead and putting the game out of reach for the University of Chicago. The Maroons never got closer than two scores the rest of the way in a 45-17 win. |
