The defense answers

Caleb Shannon and his fellow Hendrix defenders had helped the team rally with three interceptions and as time was wearing down, he added a pick, and a touchdown, to the total.

We solicit video of top plays from every Division III football program and this was our top clip.

Week 2 Play of the Week finalists

  • Greg Lee gets into the end zone to give Rose-Hulman the 74-68 win in triple overtime vs. Illinois College, capping the game which tied for highest-scoring contest in Division III football history. Watch
  • The swinging gate was left a little too wide open by Randolph-Macon as Averett's Dontae Gilbert blocks the extra-point attempt and Michael Reives finishes the return for the defensive two-point conversion. Watch
  • You may need to watch more than once to see how Charlie Dowdle brings in this pass, wrapping his arm to catch it behind the defender's back. But don't worry, we'll slow it down for you. Watch
  • Illinois Wesleyan's Matt Campbell hits the Albion quarterback and forces a fumble, which Will James picks up and takes 88 yards for the TD in the fourth quarter. Watch
