Off and running

More news about: Hampden-Sydney

For the second week in a row, Hampden-Sydney's game started with a little special teams trickery. David Coe, Sidney Henry and John Moore combine for a 90-yard kickoff return to open a big conference game with Bridgewater. It's the D3football.com Play of the Week.

We solicit video of top plays from every Division III football program and this was our top clip.

Week 6 Play of the Week finalists

  • Lebanon Valley's Tyler George makes a spinning one-handed catch in a 14-7 win vs. No. 24 Lycoming. Watch
  • Alex Fenske, who took over at quarterback for St. Thomas midway through the game, finds tight end Cole Kelly, sort of. It was Kelly's first game of the season after an injury and the TD gave the Tommies some breathing room in a 20-12 win at Gustavus. Watch
  • UW-Oshkosh quarterback Nick Olla tosses a lateral to Dylann Rauch and Rauch launches a bomb to a wide-open Cole Myhra for the 54-yard touchdown, giving the Titans a 13-3 lead on UW-La Crosse on the final play of the first quarter. Watch
